Customer Introduction
Ministry of National Defense, 𝗥epublic of Koera is a government agency established to safeguard national security and peace. It is responsible for formulating and executing military policies and defense strategies. The Ministry manages all military organizations in South Korea, including the Army, Navy, and Air Force, and promotes various policies for national security. The Ministry aims to enhance combat power through the modernization and informatization of the military and the introduction of advanced technologies. Additionally, it places great importance on the human rights and welfare of military personnel, operating various programs to improve the quality of life for soldiers and their families.

Background
In response to digital modern warfare and the challenges posed by a declining population, there is a need to establish an intelligent foundation for nurturing a strong AI-powered military. To this end, the Ministry of National Defense has launched the first cloud-based AI learning and modeling platform project. The existing individual intelligent information systems faced limitations in terms of technological advancement, large-scale simultaneous learning, and sustainability. Therefore, the National Information Society Agency (NIA) has been entrusted with the Ministry's tasks and aims to build an optimal platform that supports military AI development by applying civilian cloud and AI technologies, considering the introduction of this solution.

By introducing a cloud-native environment for the common AI development platform across the military, we enhance the efficiency of CPU/GPU resource management. This flexible environment minimizes disruptions and security threats, thereby improving application reliability. Utilizing the Orchestra platform technology, we establish a CI/CD pipeline integrated with MLOps for AI model training and enhancement. -

We have built a stable and scalable cloud platform that meets military security standards, achieving integrated resource management while minimizing disruptions and security threats during resource creation and application deployment processes. -
